About Marsha Wichers, visual artist

Marsha Wichers primarily focuses on ceramic sculptures and digital work, often developed in series around themes exploring human existence and our relationship with the world. She investigates these themes with an open and inventive approach, operating at the intersection of art, science, and the personal. Her unique background as both an artist and a medical professional allows her to ask, from a broad and original perspective: what does it mean to be human?

Marsha Wichers (born 1980) graduated in visual arts from the Royal Academy of Art  in the Hague (KABK) in 2012.  A few years later she completed a master's degree in Design at the same art academy. The body, nature and the human condition have always been central to her work.
