Ceramic sculptures
The Botanical Wonders project revolves around the fascinating beauty of our natural world. Artist Marsha Wichers 'crossbreeds' her ceramic sculptures with various plant species using artificial intelligence. Through this process, she visualizes an infinite variety of hybrid species in animations.
But what is the role of AI in this? What it shows us does not actually exist. AI can only create and learn from the information we provide – photos of our nature and our art. It is good at generating unexpected creations that can be very inspiring.
